WHY RUN?
This year marks the third annual Chase the Antelopes 5K Run/1 Mile Walk. Three years ago, an Avonworth student, Hannah Milbert, tragically passed away in a fire. All the proceeds earned at this event benefit her scholarship fund, which helps Avonworth students achieve their dream of going to college.

ABOUT US
The Chase the Antelopes 5K Run/1 Mile Walk was completely organized and executed by the 8th graders at Avonworth Middle School. The students were divided into five groups: Design, Registration, Promotion, Public Relations, and Sponsorship. Each group was in charge a different part of the race.
The Design team developed the logo, flyers, and posters for the race, as well as the t-shirts, awards, bags, and more. The Registration team created this website and the registration form, as well as got people registered the day of the race. The Promotion team was in charge of getting people to sign up for the race and spreading the word. The Public Relations team got previous participants to run again, and contacted residents whose homes would be impacted by the race. The Sponsorship team got many local businesses to support us. Check out some of the businesses they worked with under the Sponsors page!
